A love of rare gemstones was a passion that lead me to the study of Gemology at GIA (way back when they were in Santa Monica). From running a booth at the traveling gem fair to managing retail jewelry stores in Southern California; gemstones and jewelry has been quite an adventure. I have a deep love for the ocean and all aspects of nature. Music has also been a leading force within my life. There have been tragedies and triumphs in my history and all have shaped my creative spirit. I ventured out away from time spent at a brick and mortar store to a virtual jewelry store www.gemsbygigi.com . Twenty years later, I have accumulated an extensive inventory of loose gemstones, findings and unique estate items. I have helped customers bring to life their vision of the perfect engagement ring. I embrace collaboration with other artists and have supplies available for immediate production. Recently, I've delved into some handmade wire wrapped items with 14kt wire and natural gemstone beads.
